Anchorage man killed when snowmachine strikes a tree

PETERSVILLE ROAD -- A 32-year-old Anchorage man was killed Friday night when he crashed his snowmachine into a tree on Petersville Road, Alaska State Troopers said.

Kris Zeddies was dead by the time emergency responders arrived from Trapper Creek. The accident happened just before 10:30 p.m. near Mile 10.5 of the Petersville Road, a popular snowmachining area in the Valley.
